Hi, I’m Anthony Clifton, a qualified electrician working across London and surrounding areas. I specialise in domestic and commercial electrical installations, fault finding, safety inspections, and modern electrical systems — including EV charging and energy-efficient upgrades.
Electrical work isn’t just my job. It’s something I’ve grown into over years of hands-on experience, problem solving, and learning what really matters on site: safety, clarity, and doing the work properly.
I grew up around engineering and technology. My father worked as a broadcast engineer, which meant I was exposed to complex electrical systems from a young age — radio stations, transmitter sites, live broadcast setups. Seeing how critical accuracy and safety were in those environments shaped the way I think about electrical work today.
Before qualifying as an electrician, I worked in technical and operational roles where mistakes had real consequences. At just 21, I travelled as a broadcast engineer, setting up live equipment under pressure. That experience taught me discipline, planning, and how to stay calm when things don’t go to plan — skills I use daily on electrical jobs.
When I moved into electrical installation full-time, I knew this was the right trade for me. I enjoy working with complex systems, diagnosing problems properly, and leaving installations safe, compliant, and reliable.
My electrical career started working alongside a builder, where I learned the realities of on-site work. One of my early large-scale jobs involved terminating 60 SWA cables at Corringham Docks for refrigerated shipping containers — not a textbook task, but one that quickly builds real-world skill.
Since then, I’ve worked extensively across:
Domestic properties (houses, flats, extensions)
Commercial environments (shops, offices, mixed-use buildings)
EV charging installations
Consumer unit upgrades and testing
Full and partial rewires
Fault finding on old and modern systems
Complex lighting circuits (two-way and intermediate)
Some days I’m upgrading a fuse board in a family home. Other days I’m altering circuits in a commercial setting. That variety keeps you sharp — and it’s why I’m confident handling both everyday electrical issues and more technical challenges.
I keep things simple, honest, and safe.
When I arrive on a job, I don’t rush in with assumptions. I inspect, test where needed, and explain what I’ve found in clear language. I’ll tell you what’s urgent, what’s recommended, and what can wait — without pressure.
I don’t believe in confusing people with technical jargon or pushing unnecessary work. My reputation is built on clear advice, tidy work, and electrical systems that last.
Every job is carried out in line with UK regulations, tested properly, and left safe. I treat every property with respect, whether it’s a single socket repair or a full installation.
I’ve built my career on proper training, recognised qualifications, and ongoing learning. These aren’t just certificates on paper — they reflect the standards I work to every day.

These qualifications, combined with real on-site experience, are what allow me to work confidently across London homes and businesses.
Everything I write and share comes from real work, real problems, and real outcomes. I’ve seen what happens when electrical work is rushed, poorly planned, or done without proper understanding — and I’ve fixed the consequences more times than I can count.
When I explain electrical topics, tools, or safety issues, I do it the same way I would with a client standing next to me on site: clearly, honestly, and with safety first.
Do the job safely
Follow regulations properly
Explain things clearly
Leave systems reliable and tested
Never cut corners
That’s how I work — and that’s how I expect electrical work to be done.
